About us

Who runs IOAI Spain

Harbour.Space Institute of Technology is the organisation accredited by the IOAI for Spain. It runs the Spanish selection and registers Spain's team for the international final.

Accreditation

Accredited national organiser

The IOAI accredits one organisation per country. That accreditation is what allows a Spanish team to be entered in the world final, and it can be checked against the IOAI's own register.

Harbour.Space

An institution that teaches technology, entrepreneurship and design together

Harbour.Space is a private higher education institution specialising in the integrated teaching of technology, entrepreneurship and design. It has spent years taking students from school age to the top of the world's major informatics and artificial intelligence olympiads.

Exceptional talent deserves exceptional support, and that support should start early and cost the participant nothing.

Before this

Work in Spain

In 2023, Cód¡Go! brought programming to Spanish families alongside Leagues of Code, Harbour.Space's maths and computer science training platform, and encouraged more girls into the field. It was presented in Córdoba as part of the Tour del Talento, with Fundación Princesa de Girona and Banco Sabadell.

Coming cycles

Where we are going

What we want to build over the coming cycles. These are intentions rather than commitments: once a date or a venue is settled, it appears on that cycle's own page.

Widen the path

Improve preparation for the final national round and widen the qualifiers, so more students get further.

Add regional olympiads

Take the competition to the autonomous communities, up to 17 regional olympiads.

Reach more schools

Extend outreach in schools and secure continued funding for the IOAI Spain team.

Institutions

Who stands behind the selection

Harbour.Space runs the selection as the accredited organisation, and the IOAI is the body that accredits it. Partners of other programmes appear only on those programmes: no institutional endorsement is claimed here that is not confirmed in writing.

Collaborate

We are looking for allies in education and public administration

Taking this to national scale means reaching the right people in Spanish education and public administration. Any help making those connections is worth a great deal.
