Team preparation in Bangkok

Details

For the three weeks before the World Finals, the selected team trains together in Bangkok. The team follows the camp’s day, with an extra study block in the late afternoon in place of the activity programme.

Bangkok’s time zone and climate are close to Singapore’s, so the students arrive at the competition already adjusted to its conditions. From Bangkok, the team travels on to the World Finals in Singapore.

What’s covered

Taking part costs the Spanish team nothing. IOAI Spain covers the whole stay.

Training: Three weeks with the instructors.
Travel: The journey to Bangkok, and on to the World Finals in Singapore.
Accommodation: A place to stay for the three weeks.
Meals: Every meal during the camp.

How you get here

There is no separate sign-up for this event. Students get here through the Olympiad: register for the Spanish Olympics in AI, then qualify at each stage before this one.

Spanish Olympics in AI

Two online rounds and an in-person final. Students with the best results in the final are invited to the selection camp.
25 Mar – 2 Apr 2027

Selection camp

The invited students train and compete together. The Spanish team is chosen and announced at the end of the camp.
12 Jun – 3 Jul 2027

Team preparation

The selected team trains together for three weeks before the World Finals.
4 – 10 Jul 2027

World Finals

The team represents Spain at the International Olympiad in Artificial Intelligence.

Learn from people who have been through the olympiads before, as team mentors and on the committees that set the problems. They know what the World Finals ask for, and they get the team ready for it.
